Ashley Winkelmann was born and raised in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and has extensive contacts in this area. She attended St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Blowing Rock with her husband, Eric and their two children. Ashley and Eric have been active in civic and community affairs in Blowing Rock and the surrounding area for many years.
